disney on ice presents: toy story 3!

Toy Story 3 on Ice, where should I begin?  Ava loves Toy Story 3.. the toys, the movie, the characters!  For months now she has been fascinated and infatuated with all things Toy Story.  So needless to say, when we found out Toy Story 3 would be coming to KC.. on ice... we were pumped!  We wanted her to be completely and totally shocked!  We walked in the door and the merchandise tables were set up and she went ballistic.  We couldn't get her away from even the merch table!  We got down to our second row seats, and the excitement and drama only got bigger!  There were clues, like the kids wearing Woody/Jesse hats, the Buzz Lightyear cups, etc.  She would gasp, then forget about it.  But when the characters took stage....

Big 12 Champs! Sweet 16!

 Last weekend, my awesome sister "aunt teph" bought us tickets to the Big 12 Championship game here in KC... KU vs. Texas.  We had a blast and KU stomped the Longhorns.. Rock Chalk!  

As far as us, we've had a busy, emotional, and exhausting few weeks.  At least we can say that the warmer has been a little nicer, which has meant almost daily trips to the brand new park down the street from us.  It is so neat!  Also, I have gotten Ava into cooking with mommy.  She really enjoys it and it's a great way to make a mess and spend some quality time together.  Enjoy the pics!

Rest in Peace, sweet Joella

Less than three weeks ago, my friend (and cubemate's) 2 year old daughter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Though she responded positively to chemotherapy, she unexpectedly passed away this weekend after bacterial meningitis made its way to her spinal fluid, causing a seizure.

Our hearts ache for the Conrad family.  We pray for you.

Rest in Peace, Joella Grace.

warmer weather!

 After weeks of temperatures in the single digits, we finally got some warm weather this week!  Here are a couple pictures from our first trip to the park in what seems like forever.  Go away old man winter!  We want SPRING!
