A very special birthday!

Today we went to McPherson to celebrate my great grandma Opal's 95th birthday. She is in great health and spirits and enjoyed watching all of the kids play. She is truly a remarkable woman and we love her very much! Happy birthday grandma!

later we ventured out to my aunt and uncle's farm for a BBQ. Ava got to ride her first horse, and we got to meet Cookie. Cookie is a 12 year old, 3 foot tall miniature horse. Isn't she adorable? Ava loves animals, so she had a blast playing with their dogs, cats, and the horses!

Hola, buenas dias! We've been busy having a blast in Mexico. Monday, we hung out at the beach most of the day and then today, we took a 6-hour excursion on our resort's yacht. It was spectacular.  Oh, and I got stung by a jellyfish. But other than that, we're still having a blast and may never come back :):):):):)

Buenos tardes amigos! We arrived safely yesterday in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! Here are a few pictures from our first day. We are truly in heaven here, it is so serene and beautiful. Today, we took Ava to the beach for her first ever trip to the ocean. We had to walk all but a few feet to get there, and she loved every second of it. She loved the water, the sand, the waves... she was all smiles and a lot of laughs. Our villa has it's own pool so we've been spending a lot of time there. It was a great way to start vacation! I will update as we go along if I can.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!!It was a very special day. For starters, I got to sleep in until 8:30. I know this doesn't seem like a big deal but it's a whole extra hour! I didn't have to make breakfast, stayed in my pajamas until noon, then we went to my favorite restaurant "North!" We used to eat there all the time in Tucson, and low and behold, they have one in Leawood! So after our wonderful meal, I went home and took a short nap then played with Ava. We were too full from lunch to eat any dinner, so we just played at home the rest of the day. It was a very relaxing day. Ava is the most amazing little girl and I feel so lucky and so blessed to be her mother. Happy Mother's Day to our mom's, grandmother's, and our other mommy friends and family!
