Border War 2009 - KU vs. Mizzou

We went to Arrowhead again today to see our University of Kansas Jayhawks take on Mizzou (boo). It was an awesome game, but we ended up losing on a last second field goal. Oh well, we're still thankful to be Jayhawks and are looking forward to an awesome basketball season!

Light Up the Plaza

It was sooo cold but we all bundled up and headed out for the 80th annual Light Up the Plaza ceremony at the Country Club Plaza. Complete with carolers, Christmas music, and fireworks.. it was a good way to mark the start of Christmas season!  Happy Black Friday! You won't see me doing any shopping today though.. I'm anti-crowds. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! We had lunch in McPherson today at my parents house and are heading back to KC shortly to go to Light Up the Plaza!! It's been a fabulous day with good food and good company. We are so thankful for our little Ava. She has been a true blessing to our lives and we thank God for her every day! Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Week 11 - Chiefs vs. Steelers

Seriously, one of the best football games I've ever been to. Not just because the Chiefs won at home finally.. but just an all around good game. We did a chili tailgate this time and spent half the game in the suite because it was a little chilly for munchkin! But nonetheless.. it was a great time had by all and an awesome CHIEFS VICTORY :)

Lexie jumped up in the office chair to steal my apple cobbler. Ava thought this would be the perfect opportunity to take Lexie for a little spin. I caught the tail end of this and HAD to share. Turn up your sound :)

Día de Los Muertos!

Ava has been under the weather this week so we were unable to celebrate Halloween. After breakfast this morning, we put Ava's costume on and let her play in it around the house. So instead of Halloween, we're celebrating the Mexican holiday Dia de Los Muertos (day of the dead). Ava is still sick, so we'll have to wait until next year to go trick-or-treating!

Ava's Princess Party

Saturday was Ava's first birthday party with some of our friends and family. We had a pink princess themed party and lunch at our house. Ava poked her smash cake a few times before she started to cry. It went unsmashed :( Thank you to everyone who made the trip to the party; Ava's first birthday was very special!
