Ava goes to the ZOO!

This morning I took Ava to Zimbabwe, Nairobi, Uganda and Botswana -- at the Kansas City Zoo! They have the largest Africa exhibit in the US. It was amazing and she had SO much fun! She was a perfect angel the whole time we were there. Besides dogs, of course, her favorite animal is lions. I think we have an animal lover! I didn't get very many pictures but here are a few::

Ava's favorite activity is to play in the johnny jump up that Aunt Steph got her for Christmas. She thinks she's pretty funny and we do too! (turn on your speakers!)

Weekend Fun!

We spent this past Friday with Mike, MeLeah and the kiddos, as they were in the area to attend a wedding. Saturday, Ava decided she wanted to make some friends at the restaurant with her smiles and sparkling blue eyes. Here are a few pics and I will let MeLeah blog the rest of them :)

Ava and I have spent the last week in Scottsdale, Arizona with the Morris family. We had SO much fun in the sun!!! Ava had a little reaction to the baby sunscreen which is why her cheeks are all red, but other than that we spent a week lounging, swimming, and enjoying good company! Here are some pictures!

Memorial Weekend (part 1)

We traveled to Mac this weekend for some R & R. Ava had SO much fun at nana and poppa's house, as she got to experience TWO exciting firsts! When we arrived Sunday night, we took Ava for her very first swim. She LOVED IT! Then, later that night, nana made a huge dinner and for dessert, she made homemade ice cream. No time like the present for Ava to have her first taste! These are some pictures and I will upload the ones from our camera later. Hope y'all had a nice long weekend!
