buddy crawled for the first time

 Thursday we were in the house.. the roundhouse, to be exact, to watch my cuz Alex play basketball for Manhattan HS vs. Blue Valley West in the umpteenth annual McPherson Invitational.  Cool stuff!

gymnastics

Today was Ava's first gymnastics class.  She says her favorite part was swinging on the bars.  I was impressed with how well she did, but could see a little bit of my non-flexible self in her :):)  Unfortunately, the class was cancelled due to lack of participation, so we may not be able to go again until next month.  Boo!

 and I snapped a couple pictures before Epiphany the other night :)

{meeting meemaw}

Last weekend, we met James' mother in Tulsa.  We were SO excited for her to meet Aiden and for her to see Ava again.  We also celebrated a late-Christmas by giving her a "meemaw" necklace with the kids' birthstone charms on them.  We are sad she had to go back to Florida, but we will see her soon!  Thank you for a wonderful weekend, meemaw.  We love you!

 On Saturday, we spent the majority of the day at the Oklahoma Aquarium.  Aiden was less than interested, but Ava had a blast seeing all of the fish.  Her favorites were the sharks and the sea turtles.  She loved feeding them!  The aquarium also boasts a large walk-through shark tunnel, which was pretty amazing.  Not bad, Tulsa, not bad!
