{G} Family Fun

A *HUGE* thank you to my aunt Kathy & uncle Hal for having us out tonight for dinner and family fun!  Ava had a blast riding Cookie and playing with her cousins :)  My grandparents had all of their great grandchildren together for the first time ever - how cool is that!?  We are so lucky to have such an amazing family :)

Carrying on Morris tradition, we were in Lindsborg on Friday, so we stopped to get a picture of Ava on the Dala Horse.  My little Swede :)

 Saturday afternoon/evening, we ventured out to the Smoky Hill River Festival.  We hadn't ever been, so we thought we would check things out :)  We spent the majority of our time in the kids area, and Ava made a couple craft projects.  The highlight for her was decorating her own {plastic} fireman's hat (or hard hat, whichever!).  The highlight for us.. was... hmm... I guess just spending some time as a family and taking little man on his first public outing!

 Ava has been bugging us about flying a kite ever since she saw it on Dora the Explorer!  So on Sunday, James took her to Target to pick out her very first kite, and we ventured to the park to fly.  She loved it!  Her kite of choice was Star Wars (?), and it was the perfect windy Kansas day for it! 

 Little man was a trooper :)

Backtracking to Friday.. we took Aiden for his first checkup.  He is shrinking in weight but growing longer!  The doctor is not at all concerned about a little weight loss (and I'm jealous!), but he is in the 25th percentile for weight and 90th for height!  He is just a super chill and happy little guy - and he's letting us sleep about 5-6 hours at a time in the night.. so what more could you ask for?  We are sooo in love with him!  He's just perfect :):)
